Relive all the action on

The Empress Ballroom, the crown jewel in the Winter Gardens Blackpool complex is without doubt, the greatest Ballroom in the World. It has a rich history dating back to 1931 with Dancing and The British National Championships, now in it’s 48th year, is a delightful and charming 3 day Festival displaying the very best of British Ballroom and Latin American dancing.

The Empress Ballroom renowned for its regal elegance and versatile capabilities delights dancers from Solo performers, Juvenile, Junior, Youth, Amateur, Senior and Professional categories. Under the brilliant management of the organising team of Mrs Natalie Hayes, and Managing Director of BECL Mr Michael Williams. The Festival grows from strength to strength.

In particular, it was heartwarming, as well as inspiring to see an increase in the number of Juveniles and Juniors dancing in these Championships. We send our hearty congratulations to all competitors as well as to the parents for their dedication and sacrifice for our beautiful art form. This signals and we predict a continuing, developing and expanding future for The British National Dance Championships.
